In 2026 the AVA will be celebrating it's 50th Anniversary. This link will take you to the AVA page which has info on the 17 walk events being held across the US to celebrate this event. These walking events are open to anyone to join for a day or for the entire event of many walks being offered over a period of a few days. The NW Region will be hosting a 50th Anniversary event, 'Walking in the Footsteps of Lewis and Clark' which coincides with the NW Regional Conference.

Driving directions from PDX Portland Airport:
Start: PDX Head SW on NE Airport Way. Turn Left taking the ramp to I-205 and cross the Glenn Jackson Bridge. Stay on I-25 and take the exit to I-5 North heading to Seattle. Near Kelso/Longview take exit 36 (West to Hwy 30) to Tennant Way (WA-432 W). Turn left onto Oregon Way (WA 433 S). Stay on Oregon Way and continue across the Lewis and Clark bridge heading into Oregon. Take the ramp heading to US-30 West to Clatskanie/Astoria. In about 47 miles Hwy 30 turns into Leif Erikson Dr (in the outskirts of Astoria). Leif Erikson becomes Marine Drive after the Safeway Store. Continue on Marine Dr. Turn Right on Columbia Ave and enter the parking lot for the Holiday Inn Express.

Banquet Dinner will be on Saturday night September 26th. 5:30PM -8:30 or 9:00PM. We will have an MC.
