Come Walk With Us for Fun Fitness and Friendship:
Please Note: As of January 1, 2024 the fee structure for our year-round and event walks has increased from $3.00 to $4.00. This change is imposed by the AVA. Many of the clubs in Oregon and SW Washington have decided to either charge the full amount for the walks or the club is choosing to pay the AVA from the club the extra $1.00 (AVA collects $2.00 from each person registered for a walk now) fee and keep the walk fee to $3.00. If you are doing a walk with a club or through meetup please read the document below to see what the club you are walking with is charging. Some clubs have a member discount for doing their club walks.

New walker packet
At many of our walks you may see people stamping books and may wonder what that is all about. The AVA is unique in that ours is the only walking organization that allows people to track their distance and even the walk events they attend using passport-sized books. Also if you opt into doing challenges, books are used to keep track of the walks you do specific to the challenges you are participating in.
Not everyone chooses to use the books and it isn't required for walking.
However, if you are interested in keeping books here is the order form from the AVA to order a New Walker packet which has everything to get a person started in the AVA program. New Walker packet order form
