NEW FOR 2025 Proper attributes for creating maps
We received a reminder from the IT committee that we need to include our map copyright attributes on the maps we use in our walk directions. IT will NOT APPROVE new OSB files that do not have the proper attributes and RD/DRD's have been instructed not to approve on revised walk direction files if the © is not on the map. You do not need to go back and revise and reload any directions but if you are printing for your start box, please add the attributes before you print. Incuded are two files that explain the new map copyright attributes. (Notice from Sharon Moats (RD) Jan 2025)

Future Events List (updated monthly):
The future events list is useful as a way to see all of the planned walk events in our region in the current year. It helps if you want to plan for walking multi-day events or want to check when walks are planned for. Also walks may get canceled due to unforeseen circumstances. That doesn't happen too often.

Club Development and SUPPORT; club resources
If your club is struggling and in need of technical, financial, or other support be sure to check out the AVA’s Policy manual
under the section “Club Development and Support”. Here you will find information on how to request support from the
AVA and your State Association such as technical assistance, publicity, event support, or a financial mini grant for
approved purposes.
Important to note that struggling clubs should first communicate with their State Associations and Regional Directors for
guidance and support. It is the role of State Organizations to create and grow strong and active clubs in their region by
providing marketing, education, financial and event support. To access financial support, clubs must route the request
through their State Association and in the absence of a State Association, through their Regional Director.
